New way of displaying data from the cycle

Just playing around with a new way of displaying data from the End2End cycle that I did in August 2009. This data is made using a WordPress plugin called Gpx2Graphics. I really like it so far, since you can also view the route with google street view.

CHARD: Wheelers friends’ charity challenge

TWO members of 1st Chard Wheelers are to embark on a Lands End to John O’ Groats bike ride on April 28th, taking the classic route at record rate.

Whilst most cyclists take between 10 and 14 days to complete the 874 miles, Ivan Henry and Colin Gibbons, 42-year-old friends since childhood, have set themselves the gruelling target of six days, averaging 150 miles each day, or a daily 8-10 hours in the saddle.

Epic ride in memory of close friend Mick

A COUPLE will embark on a charity motorbike ride from Lands End to John O Groats in memory of a friend who was killed in a crash last year.

Mike and Rachel Barrett are aiming to raise £1,000 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance in memory of their close friend Mick Hopson, from Todmorden, who died after his Yamaha motorbike collided with a Volkswagen Polo in Milnrow last October.
