Ride raises £3866 for Great Ormond Street

Schoolboys Ben Ellis and Ben Warburton have raised a magnificent £3,866 to date for Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital in London.

The intrepid 16-year-olds cycled from Land’s End in Cornwall to John O’Groats in Scotland.

The JOGLE is not going to happen this year :(

I am sure hope of you will have working out by the now, but the JOGLE is not going to happen this year :(. Mainly due to people I was hoping to do it with, all pulling out. But not to worry, I WILL be doing it next year. Even if I have to do the whole thing by myself.

John O’Groats to Land’s End trip took two weeks

Two friends from Otley are celebrating completing a ‘top to bottom’ UK cycling challenge.

Twenty-two-year-old Roy Wood, supported by driver and navigator Ben Wilson, took just two weeks to cycle from John O’Groats to Land’s End.

Cycle of life

A FATHER and daughter from Queensferry have raised a bumper sum for a cancer charity after undertaking to cycle the length and breadth of Great Britain.

Sixty-three year old Bob Henry and daughter Jane (39) cycled the 874 miles from John O’Groats to Lands End last month to raise over £3000 for Maggie’s Caring Centre in Edinburgh, the cancer charity which helps sufferers and their families live with cancer.

Land’s End to John O’Groats penny farthing cycle ride

Cyclists are being invited to mount penny farthings, tandems and circus bikes for an alternative charity ride from Land’s End to John O’Groats.

Leicester charity Cyclemagic is aiming to raise funds for the development of its disability cycling project.
