Cyclists are being invited to mount penny farthings, tandems and circus bikes for an alternative charity ride from Land’s End to John O’Groats.

Leicester charity Cyclemagic is aiming to raise funds for the development of its disability cycling project.

874-mile charity ride for Derby’s six-seater bike team

A group of friends from Derby are preparing to ride a six-person hex-cycle from John O’Groats to Land’s End to raise money for a cancer charity.

Paul Barton, Michael Turton, John Griffin, Jamie Griffin, Gary Testro and Martyn Jackson will embark on the epic adventure in early October.

The men reckon they can complete the 874-mile journey in 16 days.

Bath University student in distance cycle record claim

A Bath student is laying claim to a new world record for cycling from one end of the country to the other – and back!

Ben Rockett, a postgraduate student from the University of Bath, rode from Land’s End to John O’Groats and then back again to Cornwall.

Ben set off on Saturday, 21 August aiming to cycle the 1,781 miles in just six days – which he completed in the early hours of Friday.

Ben Rockett, a postgraduate student from the University of Bath, is taking on the challenge of cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats and back again.

Ben set off on Saturday, 21 August aiming to cycle the 1,781 miles in just six days – he has a support team of fellow students with him.

Pc in John O’Groats to Land’s End running record bid

A father of three from Surrey is hoping to break the world record for running from John O’Groats to Land’s End.

Police officer Lee Chamberlain aims to beat the nine days, two hours and 26 minutes record for the 850-mile route.

The challenge is the equivalent of four marathons a day and Mr Chamberlain will only have a few hours rest each day.
